Bengalees have wasted half-a-century discussing politics & marxism forcefully keeping their eyes closed to whats happening across the world.
Some of the intelligent ones are securing their future in private while propagating obsolete leftist views in public. Who are opposing the industrialisation drive -
1. The teachers & professors , who have a secured job with secured salary.
2. The intellectuals whose earning potential increases manifold if they are able put themselves into limelight.
3. A few public sector employees whose lives do not change whether industrialisation takes place or not.

And a few NGOs who thrive on poverty & exploitation.

These are the people who are opposing industry at farmland. No industry at West Bengal happened without acquiring farmland including Hind Motor & Durgapur.
But, their capability to sabotage based on distorted facts will not succeed since they do not have the ideological conviction of the naxalites of 60s to fight the state.
They are mere opportunists who use these platforms to sabotage developmental efforts. You may debate for centuries about what constitutes development but you do not have an alternative model of economic policy outside your academics & world social forum. As long as you do not have an alternative, it is better to attempt your level best to criticise every single thing the Chief Minister is doingAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
