KOLKATA/NEW DELHI, Nov. 20: Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee today said he shared the PM’s concern but his party ~ the CPI-M ~ took a different line. The CPI-M secretary, Mr Biman Bose, told reporters in Budge Budge that “the Prime Minister should behave like a Prime Minister. The Prime Minister should not be worried about Nandigram.’’ Mr Bose, however, earlier said that if any of his cadre was found preventing villagers from returning home he would be expelled from the party. The chief minister said: “The PM is right and I share his sentiments and concern. The steps he has suggested are being taken and more such steps will follow’’. Mr Shyamal Chakraborty, CPI-M central committee member, said the CPI-M “is as much concerned as the PM.” In New Delhi, the CPI and CPI-M MPs have protested against the reported comments of the NHRC chairman on Nandigram.SNS
