Tapasi trial to begin on 30 November

KOLKATA, Nov. 26: Trial of Tapasi Malik murder case will start on 30 November in the Chandernagore Sub-divisional magistrate court.
The chief judicial magistrate of the Hooghly district and session court, Mr Yudhistir Haldar, passed an instruction in this regard, today. Two accused in the case ~ Suhrid Dutta, senior CPI-M Hooghly district committee member and his close associate Debu Malik~ were produced before the court where their bail petitions were rejected by the magistrate. Lawyer of Malik, Mr Kishor Mondal today submitted a petition seeking that the trail be held in the district court. But the magistrate rejected the petition. Prior to this, the accused were brought to the court amid tight protection. They were sent to jail after the magistrate had rejected their bail petitions. While Malik was brought to Presidency correctional home, Dutta was sent to Chandernagore sub-divisional correctional home later in the day.SNS
