NANDIGRAM, May 8: An assistant commandant of CRPF, Mr SP Singh, today alleged that some persons who had hurled bombs at refugees at Jalpai village in Nandigram this afternoon, were in “police uniform”. Mr Singh was escorting the refugees home at Garchakraberia village when the attack was launched. “More than 100 men were hurling bombs. Some of them were in police uniform,” Mr Singh said. The government today posted a police officer of the rank of SP in violence-torn Nandigram to oversee security arrangements. SNS
